Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving from Light Leaked!

Today I wanted to share a few books and promos that have been sent to me over the last few weeks for a Book Arts class I will be teaching next semester! I'm so grateful for this amazing community that is always willing to share and collaborate. I am humbled and inspired to be a part of it. Thank you to photographers everywhere!

If you would like to send in a handmade book/promos for me to share with my class, please send me an email at lightleaked@gmail.com

I hope everyone has a wonderful time with their families this Thanksgiving!

Warmly,

Ashley

Photo Friday: Roger May

Roger May documents Appalachia, in black and white.

"My name is Roger May. I am a documentary photographer currently living in Raleigh, North Carolina. I was born and raised in the Tug Valley region of southern West Virginia and eastern Kentucky. I appreciate photography of all types, but I'm drawn to documentary work that reveals the human spirit. I tend to hoard photography books, drink too much coffee, listen to the same songs over and over again, and bore my friends with obscure facts about photography, Appalachia and gadgets.

I'm currently enrolled in the Certificate Documentary Arts program at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University, where I'm also a part time instructor. I'm the husband of a beautiful West Virginia girl. Together, we have four children, a slew of critters, and never a dull moment."
